My cherished pastor friend from by teenage years, Danny Griffin, recently quoted from his father saying,
“ My father told me that his best years of living and working were between the ages of 70 and 90 because he felt no need to impress anyone and was no longer impressed with anyone! He had ceased with expectations and had come to live in the world of anticipation with great freedom! Once we are freed to live above others expectations answering only to our heavenly Father we can truly love God and serve one another! He served as a faithful loving pastor for 65 years making a difference! Dad believed ministry was not about the pulpit but people, not sermons but service. Dad died at 92 years of age at peace! So-Be-It.”
